PACT came together in the 1980’s on the initiative of local Christians to represent all the churches in the Petworth area.
PACT is now proud to be one of the busiest Churches Together in Sussex. All 27 churches work together; to share God’s love in the locality. There are various activities that take place throughout the year – nearly one a month. They include a Palm Sunday Procession, a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a spring and an autumn lecture (which takes place at St. Mary’s, Petworth); drawing an audience of 100+ , and a week’s Kids Holiday Club (at the end of the Summer Term). The Petworth Food Bank is available every week of the year, and a Friday Coffee Morning is open to everyone throughout the year in the United Reformed Church in Golden Square, Petworth.
